Security Glass
Description
Security glass is a type of fortified glass designed to resist breakage from projectiles, natural disasters, and explosions. It features laminated glass systems, where two or more glass sheets are permanently bonded together by a durable interlayer (see our Laminated Glass products page for more details). By modifying the heat treatment, number of panes, and interlayer material, we achieve varying levels of strength and resistance. Hartung’s SchoolShield forced-entry resistant glass protects against hand-held or thrown objects. Our bullet-resistant glass defends against projectiles fired by small arms and high-powered rifles. Blast-resistant laminates resist shockwave blasts, maintaining structural integrity. Lastly, our hurricane-resistant glazing is rigorously tested to protect against extreme windstorms. Whatever your needs may be with Security Glass, Hartung has the capabilities to work with you to develop the product that will meet the requirements of your projects.
