Description

Silkscreened glass printing is a cost-effective means to create custom patterns or images on glass. It is produced by printing a layer of ceramic frit through a specialized screen mesh onto a glass substrate and then sending the printed glass through our state-of-the-art tempering furnaces for permanent and durable material fusion. While numerous stock patterns are available for selection from Hartung, you still have the ability to completely customize your glass design, starting first with your designable pattern, then by selecting your desired ceramic frit color. Silkscreened glass can also act as an effective means to add privacy and reduce glare and heat gain without sacrificing your views of the outdoors. Silkscreened glass can be used in monolithic, insulated or laminated glass constructions and is ideal for use in facades, skylights, canopies, Hartung’s TVS All-Glass Entrance Systems, interior partitions and interior décor.

Key Product Features

Ideal for Medium to High-Volume Glass Projects

If a repeated pattern or design is needed over a large expanse of glazing area, silkscreened glass is the most cost-effective option.

Durable and Color Fast

The ceramic enamel material used in silkscreened glass is built to last. You can be confident that it will hold its color in both indoor and outdoor applications.

Glare Reduction

Certain silkscreened frit patterns, when used on glass, can be quite effective at minimizing light transmission and glare conditions, making workspaces more comfortable.

Heat Barrier

Silkscreen fritted glass can serve as a partial filter for infrared radiation (heat). With heat transmission reduction, you can create a more comfortable interior space.

Privacy Without Sacrificing Views

Certain pattern and ceramic frit color combinations can work to reduce visibility into a building without fully compromising views of the exterior from within the building.
