Technically, it was a very difficult job. Every single piece of glass on that dome is different. In fact, there isn’t a single piece that is even close to the same. If it wasn’t for Lami Glass being as organized as they were, we could have potentially lost tens of thousands of dollars a day in fines and penalties.

Hartung preformed perfectly. It was really nice having a local fabricator. They did everything they said they would do and more.

The glass from Hartung Glass is a critical component of the overall thermal and structural performance. It’s a real partnership between the architect, the mechanical engineer and the fenestration team to collaborate for the right mix of glass, framing, insulation for the final specification.

There were a lot of eyes on this project and multiple stakeholders contributing throughout so the glass supplier had a very large responsibility to supply a good quality product. Hartung did a great job and was a partner in the project. They were very cooperative and definitely part of the success. Their project management, customer service and communication was top notch. There was a lot of stressful moments with a lot of dialogue going on. Communication on this project was so important because of the custom makeups.

Once we were on the job, things fit like they were designed. The biggest thing was having the material here on time and Hartung did a great job at that. They would deliver several floors at a time, on time, which is what we were counting on. The quality required was over and above requirements and they worked with us to get it right. They proved to be up to the challenge.
