Broadway Commons, part of the Salem Alliance Church in Salem, Ore., is a mixed-use community center, health care facility and place of worship. The complex was designed to achieve a Silver rating from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, and features large expanses of high-performance glass.

At 62 storeys, Living Shangrila is the tallest building in Vancouver. A special feature are the 1340 luminescant panels known as "buttons". Measuring 24-inches square they were laminated by Lami Glass Products. The buttons conceal exhaust vents and change color during the day depending on the light source and viewing angle.
